Hall Duty

Wow, it's been a month since I've last posted. I guess it's better to post infrequently than none at all. It's just been a pretty packed month with tonnes of work that needed to be done in anticipation of the conference that's coming up in June. That and the huge distance between my woman and I taking up most of my thoughts. Hence the hiatus away from graphomania.

Point of interest, I've finally found a good english definition for "d'tair". No... it's not french. In fact, I've been having huge difficulty even trying to spell it. But thanks to Talkingcock, we now have a pretty good working definition.

TEH
(dt'air)
A Hokkien term used to describe gooey, childlike and coquettish behaviour by women designed to elicit sympathy or pampering by men.
"Whenever Ah Lian wants Ah Beng to do something for her, she becomes si beh t'eh."
